To each their own…. but you are so wrong it hurts. This show is epic in its hilarity. Give it another try, you may just not like Matthew Lillard and he’s only in one episode.

Yes, people most definitely find this funny. Once in a while we spend an evening at my in-laws and they LOVE “Reba” “According to Jim” and “Two and a Half Men” among others. These are all shows that have never even had me crack a smile. Anytime Seinfeld comes on they rush to turn it off, and ask me what in the world is so funny about that show. They look utterly perplexed when I laugh at something in 30 Rock. They don’t have premium cable channels but I’m positive they would hate any of the comedies on HBO or Showtime.

Preaching to the choir about Lucky Louie…Nattyb and I are big Louie CK fans. Jim Norton helped a lot, too; guy is hysterical.

It’s very hard for me to watch non-cable comedies. They’re so safe and lame. Big Bang isn’t terrible -it’s pretty funny at times – but I don’t consider it anything special. It’s like it’s written for nerds by people who don’t REALLY get nerds.

Are there ANY good shows on CBS? Wait, the Big Band Theory is great, but I mean any other ones? Their comedies are awful (I don’t get the whole 2 and a half men success), and they have 3 CSI shows and 2 NCIS shows.

Jay Mohr was great in Paulie. Yeah. A movie about a parakeet, and he was the voice of it. Maybe I shouldn’t admit I’ve seen that movie

I think Jay is one funny motherf$%^er but yes, his sitcom sucks a big one.
His impersonations are awesome, there’s a few of him from phone calls to the Opie and Anthony show on You-Tube.
His stand up is second to none.
I guess is a tug of war between a getting the paycheck and exposure and artistic integrity.
And one thing to remember is that most stars do not have any creative control over a network sitcom.

Last great sitcom that was on TV was Lucky Louie.
It was edgy, realistic, funny and sad but even HBO didn’t have the balls to renew it.
Instead, we get another season of Entourage again and again.

Look, I root for him too. It’s just that the show sucks. And I have no doubt he’d be fun to hang out with. But yeah man, cookie cutter is an understatement.

I got the chance to hang out with Jay Mohr for like 5 minutes in Vegas. He was a pretty cool, friendly guy – and his standup is great – so I kind of root for him, in a sense. Shame that he’s doing this for a paycheck these days.

The show is your basic cookie cutter sitcom. Its part of the never ending wheel of that stuff. I dont blame Jay though. He is a funny guy. Everyone needs to eat.
