What Disney Taught Us Growing Up

Published by under Images,Movies

For the girls:

Be helpless and super hot and someday, your prince will come. You can even be in a coma or a mute half-fish, as long as you’re hot.

For the guys:

So what’s that again, be rich (or act rich) and be hot? Disney wants everyone to be hot, I’ve got that much down.  As for the names, you’ve got me. I’ve got Aladdin, Prince Charming (though I don’t know which one that is) and let’s say….Prince Valiant. That’s got to be one of them.

Yet Another Amazing Halloween Costume: The B-Team

Published by under Images

B-Team

If any of you twinks think that we’re being all Un-P.C. here then you can kiss my ass.  And if you need a reason why then here it is.  These little guys dressed up for this picture and allowed someone to TAKE this picture.  Not to mention this is clearly what these guys are going as this Halloween.

Therefore me putting it up on this site is in no way saying that we’re making fun of little people.  Face it.  This picture is absolutely hilarious and I’m not ashamed to admit it.

Borderlands in a Nutshell

Published by under Images,Video Games

borderlands-comic.jpg

I’ll be posting the final installment of my Borderlands journal series some time next week, but until then I give you this hastily made, but very insightful comic on the driving force behind the game, weapon diversity.

Does anyone know where to find this magic porcupine gun? I’ve been playing for 60 hours and my eyes are bleeding, but no luck yet.

Added Borderlands bonus: a list of what all the red text does in the gun descriptions. Quite handy.

10 Awesome Celebrities as Vampires Pictures

Published by under Images

Celebrity Vampires

In the honor of Halloween coming up it’s time to get a little scary.  And what’s scarier than vampires?  Well honestly it would have to be clowns, but we already covered scary clowns once before.   Well at least it was a certain scary clown.

But vampires can definitely be freaky.   Well they are freaky if you are the creators of Celebrity Fury.   For whatever reason the folks over there decided to take photoshop and turn celebrities into monsters.

Luckily for us we got a chance to weed out 10 that were flat out awesome

25 of the Best, Worst and Most Terrifying Cartoon Character Halloween Costumes

Published by under Images,Lists,Television

photo.jpg

Well, it’s Halloween again, and I’ll be damned if I didn’t post a giant photo gallery of absurd and awesome costumes. What I’ve gone with this year is a specific look at TV show cartoon character costumes, which produce some pretty excellent stuff due to the fact that it’s quite hard to translate animation to real life. Some people do a pretty good job, like my friend up there as Quailman (literally, that’s my college buddy a few years back), and others? Well, you’ll see.

So check out the gallery below, prepare to laugh, cry and hide under the covers. And most of all, Happy (almost) Halloween from Unreality.

Unreal Game Review: Castlevania: Symphony of the Night

Published by under Reviews,Video Games

 alu.jpg

Alright, I know I’m really late on this one, but please allow me to explain.  This past summer, I really enjoyed playing Shadow Complex, a game from Xbox Arcade that was time and time again compared to Metroid and Castlevania.  In fact, many people dubbed Shadow Complex as a “Metroidvania” type of game.  I was and still am a huge fan of the Metroid series, and I had played and loved the first three Castlevania games for the 8-bit NES, so I knew pretty much what type of game to expect.  I never owned a Playstation, though, and so I missed the boat of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night.

The Morning Link: The Do’s and Don’ts of a Halloween Party

Published by under Morning Link

Costume

The leaves are changing which means summer is officially over and it’s time to start brainstorming an idea for a kick ass Halloween costume. With Halloween comes the yearly Halloween party where guys can dress like jackasses, girls can dress slutty and everyone catches a healthy buzz.

On a side note, is there a non-slutty girl’s Halloween costume?  While you guys figure that out, try and remember to follow these do’s and don’ts of a Halloween party.

Epic Facebook Movie Typecasting Thread is Epic

Published by under Images,Movies

Apologies for the absurdly long picture, but I think it’s worth it. How come my Facebook friends are never this cool? Surprisingly, I can’t think of any more to add to the list at the moment, but feel free to chime in with your own suggestions and maybe if I’m bored I’ll photoshop them in.

‘Cup of Tears’ Trailer Fulfills Your Samurai in ‘Sin City’ Fantasies

Published by under Movies

httpv://www.youtube.com/watch?v=En5mvdyV8J0

After watching moves like Sin City and 300, I often wondered, “Why aren’t more movie filmed this way?” Well Irish director Gary Shore felt the same way, which is why he’s making Cup of Tears, an absurd sci-fi samurai film that echoes both those films, with a little Star Wars thrown in for good measure. What the hell am I talking about? You have to watch the trailer to really understand. And even then you probably won’t.

I have no idea what the hell is going on in this movie, but I know it’s probably awesome, and this thing really needs to find a distributor pronto so this can get out of Ireland (yes, the production of this movie has nothing at all to do with Asia) and leap across the ocean over here. Make it happens studios, the blogosphere commands you!

Photoshop of the Day: Light Sabers Make Everything Cooler

Published by under Uncategorized

Ligh Saber

Look guys, it doesn’t take a person with lightning fast photoshop skills to make a decent looking creation.  I know lots of you out there are sticklers for details and are the first people to jump at a photoshop with inaccuracies.

But come on.  Sometimes you just have to sit back, relax, and take a photoshop for what it’s worth.  And this here picture is a fine example of just good old family fun.

Not to mention the creators are 100% right.  Things do look way cooler with Light Sabers
