‘Cup of Tears’ Trailer Fulfills Your Samurai in ‘Sin City’ Fantasies
After watching moves like Sin City and 300, I often wondered, “Why aren’t more movie filmed this way?” Well Irish director Gary Shore felt the same way, which is why he’s making Cup of Tears, an absurd sci-fi samurai film that echoes both those films, with a little Star Wars thrown in for good measure. What the hell am I talking about? You have to watch the trailer to really understand. And even then you probably won’t.
I have no idea what the hell is going on in this movie, but I know it’s probably awesome, and this thing really needs to find a distributor pronto so this can get out of Ireland (yes, the production of this movie has nothing at all to do with Asia) and leap across the ocean over here. Make it happens studios, the blogosphere commands you!

this movie looks badass. very anime-ish. it’s funny how every eastern themed movie made by westerners have to have a white guy there. it’s like, the last samurai was awesome, but how do we add tom cruise in it. on a side note, the ninja assassin looks cool too.
That looks nice! But I think it’s about Ninjas, because Samurais look different from their clothing-style and are more like warriors.
But what the hell has that spaceship near the end to do with this whole thing??
edit: I need a computer-game (well-made of course) like this one^^
@Limitus- Funny, I was going to say that the trailer looked like a game! I’ll give this a look whenever it gets over the pond.
Gary Shore? More like Zack McSnyder.
I kill me.
it has nothing to do with ninjas, samurais, japan - it’s rather a part of a very different time and space continuum. it’s a certain kind of world that lives inside western people’s heads. it’s a wolrd about asia where “kimono” means some kind of a light garment made of silk that with slightest breeze will turn into bikini with wings, where samurai ninja assassins are always running around killing people and where constantly leaves are falling. be it spring of fall, winter or summer.
