The Scariest Movie Characters Under 5 Feet Tall

I’m not the biggest fan of horror movies, however I can certainly appreciate when a director and writer can really scare the crap out of us movie goers. Personally I don’t really get scared from gore or pus or anything like that.
What really freaks me out is when you take something innocent or even cute and turn it into something that goes completely rampant. And there’s no better device than children and “cute” things to accomplish such a task.
Which is why I didn’t want to limit this article to just children.
Here are the scariest movie characters under 5 feet tall
Leprechaun

Warwick Davis! You gotta love this guy. The first Leprechaun movie definitely had a “Chucky” type feel to it. That character is definitely freaky and the face alone is worth the vomiting.
Samara in The Ring

I don’t even want to discuss how scared I am of this character. I might have nightmares if I bring anything up.
Chucky in Child’s Play

Let’s face it. His face alone scares the living crap out of you. Granted they really didn’t need to make any movies past the 1st, it’s a great horror character.
Gage - Pet Sematary

Oddly enough this is the same kid who says “Boys have a penis, girls have a vagina” in Kindergarten Cop. Still though, he’s scary as hell in this movie.
All of the kids in Village of the Damned

Whether it’s the old version or the John Carpenter version from the 80s, these are kids I would not want to mess with. That movie was freaky as all hell.
Little Clown in Killer Klowns from Outer Space

All of the clowns are scary in this movie but if this little guys face doesn’t freak you out then you need psychiatric help.
The Twins in The Shining

Forever and ever and ever.
Children in Children of the Corn
Why do people create these movies?
Ju On in The Grudge

The standard freakazoid kid in a horror movie has become a cliche thanks to the steady stream of Chinese, Japanese and Korean horror into the U.S., but for my money, this pasty-faced little cretin is about as scary as it gets
Child Vampire in Salem’s Lot

“Can Danny come out and play”
Damien Thorn in The Omen

Literally Satan in the form of a human boy, he fills us with dread with his every look and movement, despite being an adorable little thing and not really doing anything evil himself per se in the entire flick
*and I’m not putting in that stupid little girl from Orphan. That movie is too dumb to be considered scary.

Where’s the dwarf from DON’T LOOK NOW?
They probably don’t count since they weren’t that scary, but if the Leprechaun counts then dammit the puppets in Puppet Master should count. Loved the cowboy with six arms and Blade.
