Really Jackie Chan?
In my sequel article to “Really Clive Owen?” I now present to you, “Really Jackie Chan?” I understand the man is getting older, and maybe can’t kick quite as much ass as he used to, but that’s no reason to start turning into The Rock and doing horrendously concieved children’s movies like this one. The Karate Kid remake is bad enough, but this? It’s a whole different level.
Why are action stars feeling the need to pacify themselves just to be in terrible kids movies like this. It worked ONE TIME for Vin Diesel in The Pacifier (and that’s debatable), it does not mean it’s an idea to be repeated. This even have the same freaking “wacky animal” addition. Come on!

Yeah, I saw this before Wild Things yesterday and I got some angry looks for parents next to me when I said, quietly, “What the fuck are you think, Jackie Chan?” It made the rest of the time I spent next to those families rather uncomfortable.
That being said, WHY!!!!! Of course, after how freaking bad “Forbidden Kingdom” was, what can I really expect from him?
I thought this poster was a spoof for a second. Look at the names on the bottom, Billy Ray Cyrus and George Lopez? This poster doesn’t even look well made. I thought someone just did a crap job in photoshop adding the kids faces. This just makes me sad for Jackie Chan.
C’mon, why the hate? Maybe he thinks it could by fun making such a movie. If I was an actor in my 50’s and I don’t really had to make money anymore I would either try to win an oscar or make easy flicks I enjoy making. (I’m being serious)
The guy has suffered enought in his life becoming an idol
I have not seen this movie, but until I do (and I won’t..) this could be the next Schindlers List!
Of course this will be awful, but really, how many good movies has Jackie Chan been in? The man is a legend and is a joy to watch on screen, but people see his movies for him, not for the story.
Haha I honestly thought that this poster was fake. His body looks totally disproportional that it freaks me out.
Just goes to show you that actors are like everyone else if you got offered a shitty job with high pay would you take it? I would. Seems like some of the actors dont really care what the movie they are in is about they just want to act and get paid a rediculous amount of money for it.
After nearly killing himself (really) to make movies for several decades, I can forgive him some crappy movies. The man is still a legend, and a badass.
