Cruise/Diaz Movie Undergoes the Worst Title Change in History

Tom Cruise realized after Tropic Thunder that he’s actually a pretty decently funny guy when he wants to be, which is why he signed up for Wichita, an action-comedy with Cameron Diaz.

But for some inexplicable reason, Fox has decided to change the title to the puntastic Knight and Day. Just a hunch, but I assumed it’s some sort of play on the character names, which in no way excuses it, but might explain it. I’m not sure why Fox is deciding to throw up ANOTHER barricade to prevent me from liking this movie (after Cameron Diaz), but you know, I have to trust Fox’s sound judgement. After all, they are the guys who decided to make the Wolverine movie completely bloodless.

You thought I was going to say something about Arrested Development didn’t you?

You think Wichita is a better title? They’re both lame.

@Drester: Witchita was never the name. It was only the code title. Like how Episode IV was originally titled Blue Harvest.
