Well, I was about to praise The Crazies for at least being an original attempt at the zombie genre, but then I learned that it’s a remake of an old Romero film I never heard of, so there goes that.

But I do love Timothy Olyphant, so I’ll watch him kill a town full of zombies any day of the week. I actually think it’s lame that the townspeople turn into zombies instead of just being crazy all by themselves. I can easily shoot a zombie in the face, but my neighbor? I might need to think it over twice.

Also, the trailer completely lost me once “Mad World” kicked in. There are some songs that no matter how good, just need to be retired from movies altogether.
