Ghost Rider

Wait a second here.  A second one of these?  Really?

Columbia Pictures has begun to rev the throttle on a second installment of the Marvel Comics character “Ghost Rider.”

David Goyer is in early talks to create the story and supervise writers for a film expected to once again star Nicolas Cage, who played the highly flammable cyclist in the 2007 original.

Through a spokesperson, Goyer said he hadn’t signed on yet. But plans are already under way to base the sequel on a “Ghost Rider” script written years ago by Goyer

I cannot believe that the first movie actually made enough money to warrant making a second movie. Obviously that’s the only explanation here. Was there ever a day when a Hollywood executive actually watched a movie without seeing what kind of money it made and said “Good God this movie sucks, I will never make a sequel?”

Clearly not.  And by the looks of it, I can only assume that the heads of the studio turned their heads the other way at Nic Cage’s hairstyle.  Look guys, he’s not 30 anymore.  Cut it out with this short brown hair plug stuff will ya?
