The Facebook Movie Adds Some Friends

You may remember hearing about a Facebook movie that at first seemed like the worst idea ever, until you learned that it was actually about the FOUNDING of Facebook, and how it became one of the world’s largest websites. Then it only seemed like KIND OF a bad idea.

Well the project (called The Social Network) is being helmed by David Fincher, so there’s hope for it yet, and now the film has found its cast.

Jesse Eisenberg will play founder Mark Zuckerberg, Justin Timberlake will play Sean Parker, the Napster co-founder who became Facebook’s founding president, and Andrew Garfield will play Eduardo Saverin, the Facebook co-founder who fell out with Zuckerberg as the social network became a financial juggernaut.

Yup, the kid from Zombieland and the guy who brought you No Strings Attached. But to be fair, I’ve actually been pretty impressed with both Eisenberg and Timberlake in almost everything I’ve seen them in (except Alpha Dog, god Justin…), and they’re both (almost) dead ringers for who they’re supposed to be playing (especially Eisenberg/Zuckerberg).

I have faith in this project which despite seeming boring, should thrive in the hands of Fincher.

it also helps that Andrew Garfield is an amazing actor and will probably steal the movie.

    Paul-

    Alpha Dog is great!

Timberlake was one of the very, very few bright spots in Southland Tales, too.
