A-Team Movie Cast Looks Weird, Maybe It’ll Work? Maybe Not

A-Team

From Variety:

Jessica Biel and Sharlto Copley (“District 9″) are in final talks for Fox’s “A-Team,” opposite Liam Neeson, Bradley Cooper and Quinton “Rampage” Jackson.

Joe Carnahan is directing with Ridley Scott producing with Jules Daly and series creator Stephen J. Cannell. Script by Skip Woods keeps the TV series premise of four wrongly convicted vets escaping from prison to become do-gooder mercenaries but carries a more serious tone than the small-screen version.

Liam Neeson huh?  Man is this guy versatile.  Look, it’s kind of a weird cast when you think about it.  I feel like it’s something sort of similar to casting Jamie Foxx and Colin Farrell in Miami Vice.

Or perhaps it’s just the fact that the show ended so long ago that it’s really hard to think of a cast.  “Rampage” Jackson?  I mean that’s pretty awesome but I’d rather just have Mr. T in it all over again.  How badass would that be?

Liam Neeson?  I just can’t get off of that one.  Jessica Biel is fine.  That Sharlto Copley guy looks like he’d be a decent Murdock and I have no clue what Cooper would do.  But since he’s kind of an “it” guy in Hollywood right now, I suppose it makes sense.

Overall?  It’s going to suck just like any other remake they’re trying to do these days.

Don’t try and replace the A-Team man.  That’s just bad news.

Yeah, but Liam Neeson is the best actor out of all off them. He gives the project some credibility at least.
