Ellen Degeneres Dances Her Way Onto ‘American Idol’
Remember how Paula left American Idol as some sort of power play to get paid more? Well as it turns out, there are a million women in the country who can sit in a chair and spout nonsense, and yes, some will ONLY take a few million for it.
And though anyone could have filled her spot at the judging table, the recent selection of Ellen Degeneres is good news for everyone. Why? Because she’s awesome. I don’t care if she knows anything about music besides how to dance to it, she’s got a great personality and will be a fun “upbeat” judge for the show. And as an added bonus, we might actually be able to understand what the hell she’s talking about.
So welcome Ellen, I hope you’ll stay awhile.

What? You’re crazy. She has no buisness Bering on American idol. Not because she’s an unfunny ungrateful hack of a comic, but because she has NOTHING to do with the music industry. She’s never sung, written or produced music in her life. This is horrible and you are A jackass for supporting this.

I do think that they probably should have gotten someone that has something to do with the music industry, in some form or another, to be the new judge.
That said, American Idol has way more to do with ratings and marketing a product than it does with music.
