The Descent 2: Sure, but Why?
Just because a horror movie CAN have a sequel, that doesn’t mean it SHOULD. Such is the case with The Descent, which I absolutely loved, though now with the prospect of a sequel, I’m worried something will taint my memory of the film.
From the trailer it looks exactly like what you’d expect, except the monster are no longer a surprise revelation. There’s darkness, blood pool and rocks, and I’m wondering what this movie will have that the other didn’t, besides a different writer and director (Danger Will Robinson!). In any case, I’ll have to see it for curiosity’s sake alone.

WTF? if they were gonna make a shitty sequel at least make it about the military exterminating the things or the girl that lived in the first one.
Um, no,…fuck no. Ill just watch the Descent again, asshats.
Lame… Wasn’t really into the very predictable, not very scary, and kinda boring first movie…

@drunkenjunk:
I just watched the original Descent last night. While the girl is still technically alive at the end, it is implied that she does not survive. This is due to the fact that she never gets out of the cave.
All in all, I thought it was a pretty good horror movie.
