15 Carnage Filled Battlebot Battles
Here’s a prediction for you: Battlebots is coming back. Now, I’m not sure if it’ll be to a network (doubtful) or G4 or SpikeTV, but it’s coming. It’s a show that requires zero dollars on your part (competitors make the robots themselves) and is full of awesome robot fighting. Double bonus.
The last time Battlebots aired was the year 2000, and you tell me that robot technology hasn’t gotten better in a decade? You can see some truly epic designs toward the end of the show (my favorite is the Skynet-esque Warhead) and I think if they brought it back and gave it enough press to make it popular, we’d see some really cool shit from the tech geniuses of the nation.

If you like these you should check out Robot Wars, the British equivalent. It’s practically the same i.e. robots killing each other, however it did include ‘house’ robots which were essentially robots that would be put in the corner and if any victim came near they would have a good ol’ smash at it. So that added another layer to the strategy of pushing robots about etc. in battle.

Robot wars doesn’t hold a canlde to battle bots. All the hype over a pit that did basically nothing, and interference from other robots like sirkillalot ruined it for me. battlebots was one on one, kept the weapons simple, and the hazards far more devastating. you either were incapacitated, fought till the buzzer, or turned into a shredded mess. besides, I guarantee sirkillalot couldn’t hold a fight against minion or toro.
