I like the look of the new slim model and there's a decent crop of games coming out for the PS3 in the coming months. My idea was to grab Valkyria Chronicles and Fat Princess, they'll tide me over until Uncharted 2 which looked fantastic. I think there are enough quality games (or movies in MGS4's case) to warrant the purchase. I don't have any experience with the PS3 system thus far but I think when it comes to cross platforming I'll get multiplayer games on my 360 and single player games on the PS3. Now to just get a Blu-ray capable monitor/TV... I’m probably gonna pick this up now that there’s a price drop on it. I don’t agree with the statement that Blu-Ray is not being adopted by the masses. While the adoption has been slow, we’ve just started to hit some key points ($100 players) that will allow it to take off.

Totally worth the $399 price tag.The selection of games isn't the biggest, but the good games are GREAT. I'm a quality over quantity type. I own a 360 and a Wii and both just have a much higher bullshit:gold ratio.The difference in Blu-Ray is worth it if you have a good enough TV/Monitor and if the movie is worthy of the quality.
