MTV has greenlighted a slate of scripted and reality series and has renewed three freshman shows.

The network said Tuesday that it has ordered to series “Downtown Girls,” “Megadrive,” the Ashton Kutcher-produced “American Idiots,” the scripted comedy “Hard Times” and an untitled comedy/variety project starring Rob Hoffman.

On the renewal front, the freshmen “She Really Going Out With Him?” — inspired by the site Hot Chicks With Douchebags — and “Silent Library,” based on a Japanese game show, have each been picked up for 20 episodes

You gotta love these show ideas.  Best part?  They will be popular.  I have no doubt about it.  The trashier we get, the better off we are says MTV.

The next slated shows to air on MTV?  “Hot Chicks Fighting and Acting Like Idiots,”  “I’m Not Really in the Mafia but I want you to Think I am,” and “I’m Really Rich, Dumb, and You’ll never have my life No Matter how hard you work.”

Why does the network still call itself MTV? It now has about as much to do with music as MSNBC does.

I can’t wait for this current generation to show it’s years.

Seriously take that image at the top and add about 30 to all of those people.

It’s going to be fun times.

I am so sick of over tanned girls with way too much plastic surgery. It’s time for a revolution…

    BRING BACK THE NATURAL GIRLS!!!

Nobody but over tanned juiced up monkey’s like these chicks anyways.

Amen. Natural, almost all the time. The sad thing is that lots of girls who gets implants didn’t even “need” them in the first place.

@ Madison: Honestly, unless they’ve got some medical reason (Cancer comes to mind) no girl “needs” them.
