I Refuse to Believe ‘Wall Street 2′ is Going to be a Real Movie

Frank Langella will join the cast of “Wall Street 2: Money Never Sleeps,” the Oliver Stone-directed sequel for 20th Century Fox.
Shia LaBeouf stars with Michael Douglas, who’ll reprise his Gordon Gekko role. Josh Brolin is reportedly circling a part in the Allan Loeb-scripted drama as well.
Langella is in talks to play Lewis Zabel, an old-time broker who mentors LaBeouf’s character, a young Wall Street broker. The mentor’s fate plays a major part in the film’s plot.
Look I know it’s been in the works for a while but still…..Please tell me this isn’t true. For the love of God please tell me this movie is not happening. Look. It’s almost acceptable that at least huge stars are going to be in this movie, but do you really have to take one of, if not the best financial movies of all time and make a sequel out of it?
Michael Douglas. Please buddy! You’re clearly not hurting for cash. Do you just want people to think you’re cool again? Isn’t having Catherine Zeta Jones as a wife enough?
I’m livid right now. Each word I type makes me a little more pissed off. I can’t do this. I can’t. Why Hollywood?

If it was a movie about finance/Wall Street and had all these actors, only it was called something else, would you feel the same?
Man, you get fired up easy. First it’s pale chicks, now it’s movie sequels.
While Wall Street was a good movie, it hardly falls into the “there is no way a sequel could ever be made” camp.

I agree. It’s not interesting to see what became of Gordon Gekko? Really? And Frank Langella is pretty inticing, too…
