One Sentence Entourage Summary: Drive (Season Premiere)
This is a new segment where I bet that I can sum up last night’s Entourage in one convoluted sentence. Readers of the site will know that my cohort Madision hates the show with a passion. I, on the other hand, think it’s just completely mindless, yet occasionally fun, and I don’t have a problem devoting 20 minutes a week to it.
So what happened this week?
Vince is done filming Great Gatsby, is starring in a new movie about Enzo Ferrari, and he had to get his driver’s license, but really sucks at it, and then he goes on Leno; meanwhile Drama does nothing relevant, Turtle is still dating Jamie Lynn Sigler who apparently has nothing better to do now that Sopranos has wrapped and E is flirting with Sloan again and moving into his own place; in addition, Ari and Llyod are fighting because Llyod wants to be promoted, as a result of this Ari says that he’ll haze Llyod for 100 days and if he survives he can be an agent
Thank god for semi-colons.
The series premiered in typically “whatever, it’s Entourage” fashion. There were nice cars, Ari said funny things and Vince banged a blonde chick. I think E getting back together with Sloan is going to be a lame plot development as they’ll drag it out for a few episodes as they try to be friends (though I have missed Emmanuelle Chiriqui dearly). Ari hazing Llyod could be funny, though I sort of wish I could just see Llyod as an agent this season instead of waiting till the next go around, as this 100 days will surely take 12 episodes.
So yeah, a typical Entourage where nothing really happened, but you don’t really care. And therein lies the true beauty of the show.
