Just How Creepy Can a Stop-Motion Fox Be?

This creepy.

From JoBlo, we get our first look at some cast members of Wes Anderson’s The Fantastic Mr. Fox.  The film is being shot old-school stop motion style, and while the other characters look alright (Mrs. Fox is kind of hot), the titular Mr. Fox looks like something out of a childhood nightmare.

Maybe we just caught him on a bad hair day, but I hope he’s not quite this terrifying in motion. It’s about time we saw a trailer for this thing no?

PS. Isn’t it weird that Mr. Fox’s last name is Fox? It’s like if someone was named Mr. Human.

I really hope this will be awesome. I love Roald Dahl’s books, and so far most of the film adaptations of them have been fairly disappointing (especially “Matilda,” one of my favorite books as a child, and the movie was TERRIBLE). And I love Wes Anderson. It sounds like a perfect formula, but….nothing is ever certain.

Whoa, whoa. The Matilda movie ruled.

I hope this movie will be great as well, but I find it strange for the first time ever I’m actually rooting for a CGI adaptation instead.

I find it humorous that you find that his name being Mr. Fox as weird, yet see nothing wrong with the fact he can also stand upright, speak, and is clearly wearing pj’s.

It wouldn’t look as creepy if they had been made of clay. The hair on the characters makes them look weird.
