Ryan Reynolds is Green Lantern
Don’t look so excited buddy.
The other day, rumors were circulating that the casting of Green Lantern was down to three choices, Bradley Cooper, Ryan Reynolds and Justin Timberlake. Everyone was focused on Timberlake as the big WTF, but now that the ring has been officially passed to Reynolds, I think the studio made the wrong call.
As much as I love Ryan Reynolds, I don’t think Green Lantern is the role for him. Yes,he was born to play Deadpool(also, isn’t this a conflict of interest between Marvel and DC?), but Green Lantern? Why?
I think Timberlake and Cooper would have made slightly better choices, but that entire list was rather dumb to me. I think if they expanded their scope more they could have done well with an out there pick like James Marsden or even someone slightly older like Jim Caviezel.
But oh well, I like Ryan Reynolds as an actor all the same, and I’m sure he’ll do a good job. I just don’t think he fits.

I love Reynolds, but I agree, this isn’t the role for him.
It should have been Fillion!
i judged him to early for dead pool thought he was bout to suck
so im not going to judge him until i see it i can only go off he good couple scenes in wolverine
It should be Nathan Fillion like in that fan trailer. He would be awsome.
If I can’t have my first choice (Nathan Fillion from Serenity) then I guess Ryan is an okay choice. He does have the chops to act opposite anyone especially whomever they get to play Sinestro. Alot of the these movie concentrate on the villians more than the heroes anyway so he really can’t screw this movie up.
I just love how Fox is gonna make a shitty Deadpool movie, and Warner Bros. will probably make a good/great Green Lantern movie.
David Boreanaz voiced Hal Jordan in “Justice League: The New Frontier” animated movie, I always thought he’d be excellent as Hal in live-action as well. They would have had to written him a bit older, but he still would have been better than Timberlake. I guess I should just be happy they didn’t pick the mouseketeer…

I agree, ryan reynolds just doesn’t fit, my choice would have been Ben Browder cuz he looks the part and has that same attitude when he plays “Crighton” from farscape
