Full Trailer for District 9 Looks Kind of….I Really Don’t Know

Look, bottom line is that we’re talking about something that Peter Jackson is involved in, so we should all be at least curious about District 9. But I swear to God if I see any kind of movie resembling something out of Transformers, even in the least bit, I’m going to be a little skeptical.
The trailer literally almost had that feel. And what little you do see of the aliens, they look a little Transformerish. One thing I can be certain of though, is that I highly doubt Jackson would involve himself in something that didn’t at least carry a story, something, anything.
Eh, unless that man is out to make a buck and use his name to promote the sh*t out of the movie. That will remain to be seen but in the interim, you decide on the trailer yourself.

I saw this trailer yesterday and have been following the movie for a while now. I’m really excited to see it as it’s a new take on a very old social problem.
This is from the director that was originally involved in the now cancelled Halo movie. I believe this is his first film (based on an already existing short film).
If they hold up to the preview I think this movie has some potential.
I’m genuinely excited about this, regardless of whether or not Peter Jackson is involved. I think this will be a “smart” alien movie that will be much more of a social commentary than a special effects extravaganza.
I expect it to be quite refreshing.
I just looked into it and it is Neil Blomkamp’s first film as a writer. He has directed a couple films in the past.
the aliens look kind of cool, especially in the mech suits. I think its closer to evangelion then transformers.

Yeah, Blomkamp. I believe he’s Peter Jackon’s protege, so to speak. His name sounds like a dirty sexual term.
i am really excited about this movie..i have been following it for a while and when i saw the new trailer i freaked..it does have a transformer-esque vibe in the trailer..but it’s not hard to make that comparison when the only movie anyone seems to be talking about is transformers…it’s all relative…
im actually looking forward to this movie it seems so cool, and like it have a good storyline =)… i hope this movie rocks
