My cousin saw the movie before me and talked about it like it was the freaking “Holy Grail” of summer blockbusters, and after seeing it, I had to wonder if he was brain dead. Even the SFX were horrible. I couldn’t see a damn thing, it was so convoluted! They could have achieved the same effect by throwing scrap metal duct-taped to explosives together! It seems Megan Fox was only there to use her hotness and gigantic breasts to mind-rape all the nerds so that they wouldn’t go blog about how bad the movie is.

I agree with the review though, and I’ve come to hate the “what did you expect, The Godfather?” comments you see on a lot of sites. Since when does action (not even great action this time) and a solid plot have to be mutually exclusive?

You make valid points about how the movie is bad, but I still liked the movie. I go into movies like this and pretty much shut my mind off and enjoy. I mean it did occur to me that transformers shouldn’t be humans, the twins were retarded and said one funny thing, the Primes all dying to protect a key when they were better off staying alive, and the Fallen miraculously getting up when Optimus dies was stupid. Yet, i just wanted to see robots fuck each other up, and thats what I got.

You are correct. Michael Bay is honest, at least – he acknowledges that he views his job as a position to make big money for the studio. “Film as art” is the last thing he’d ever agree with.

i have yet to see it because of all the bad reviews so I am leary, but regardless M. Bay did his job and is making boat loads of money

This is and will be the worst movie of the summer, no doubt. It was atrocious. Michael Bay could have saved me the time and just as well have sent me a turd in the mail.
