I really do hope that the movie is good. Not for my benefit, but for the benefit of the show as the show is really good and I’d hate for people to remember the name for this movie, if it’s bad, and not even watch the show.

Nevertheless, I’ll see the movie, but I won’t compare it to the show and I’ll try to have low expectations.

I agree. Shyamalan is unfortunately at a point in his career where his works are going to be prejudged based on his prior works and not for their merit. I think that sucks, but that’s how people are.

Agree with Josh. BTW the Last Airbender is an American cartoon stylized and drawn like Japanime. The trailer overall doesnt look half bad.

I don’t see why there is a problem with this trailer. All it does is show off what the style is going to be like. No movie, at least from my memory, has -ever- pulled off the anime to real life look correctly. Seriously… look at Dragonball and Street Fighter. Anyway… I think this actually looks good style wise. I think it will come down to the script and dialogue and whether or not he can resist the urge to throw in a huge plot twist at an innopportune moment.
