Final Terminator TV Spot Ruins the Last of the Film’s Surprises

Published by Paul Tassi at 1:00 pm under Movies

As you may recall in my review of Terminator Salvation, I said that the fundamental problem with the film was that the inclusion of Marcus Wright’s roboticism ruined the one great shock the movie could have had. But I was wrong, there was still one more surprise to be spoiled, and that’s the CGI guest appearance of Arnold Schwarzenegger as the T-800.

But now a new TV spot has pretty much the entire five seconds Arnie’s oddly animated face pops up on screen during the film, in a last ditch effort to get people to come see the movie, but ironically spoiling the only surprise the film had left. It’s like when The Fast and the Furious Tokyo Drift TV spots started showing the Vin Diesel cameo. Yeah, it’s just like that.
