Is it just me or does Land of the Lost seem like the most half-assed project ever? I mean, not just because this new poster was clearly made with roughly thirty seconds of Photoshop, but I’m talking about the movie as a whole.

Exec #1: So we need a PG movie that is going to make lots of money, but we don’t want to really exert any effort to make it.

Exec #2: Hm alright, well my son just finished a screenplay. He based it off of Land of the Lost.

Exec #1: What the hell is that?

Exec #2: It’s a TV show from when he was a kid.

Exec #1: What would be involved in making this?

Exec #2: Will Ferrell running around acting like a moron for an hour and a half. A team of monkeys to run CGI. Oh, and a computer for my cat to roll around on to make the poster in Photoshop. That’s about it.

Exec #1: Greenlit!

Despite being PG and having Will Ferrell in it, I really hope that stupid kids don’t drag their families to go see it thus making it profitable. You hear me stupid kids? Don’t you do it! Go see Up, watch Star Trek again, anything but this.
