The Ryan Reynolds Deadpool Movie is Happening

Well, this was probably inevitable after the smashing success of Wolverine, but I wasn’t going to believe it until I saw it. A Ryan Reynolds/Deadpool project has officially been greenlighted, and I imagine we’ll see it in theaters around 2011.
Reynolds did do a great job as Deadpool in the film, what little time he had onscreen, and I’m not entirely opposed to the idea of him getting his own movie. A few things however:
- Throw out the BS ending of Wolverine that changed the character into something it was never supposed to be
- Make him wear the mask, or else I’m going to think of him as Ryan Reynolds with swords the whole time rather than Deadpool.
- No need for a cavalcade of useless mutant guest stars.
Follow these simple instructions and I think you’ll have a pretty cool project.

He was so amazing as Deadpool I wish there had been more of him in Wolverine!
Ugh.. not another one.
If Hollywood wants to impress us with another superhero movie, lets have them keep to a few simple rules.
1) stop making them all the damn same.
2) stop picking the B list dreamy guy of the month to be your hero
3) stop spending half the movie explaining why the hero has powers that don’t even get used that much in the movie
4) cut the hell back on the cgi.. and really, stop stuffing more effects down my throat then a fat kid and extra buttered popcorn.
Renolds as Deadpool? Pft.
He SHOULD be in a mask the whole damn film. Why do you want a pretty boy who’s going to be pseudo-charming to play an Anti-hero? You want a good dead pool, pick an actor who after talking for 3 seconds, you feel the urge to punch in the face.
