20 Undeniably Awesome Mustaches in Movies

Published by at 10:45 am under Movies

Movie Mustaches

I wouldn’t go as far as to say that mustaches are making a comeback.   I don’t think we’ll ever have the amazing ‘staches that we did back in the 70s and 80s.   However, I will say that it seems mustaches have been popping up back and forth in Hollywood over the last 5 years or so.

There’s something very special about a well defined mustache in a movie don’t you agree?  In a way a mustache is like a prop.  It tells you things about the character and makes you believe more about him than only his dialogue will allow.

It’s also quite badass when someone can grow a ‘stache like some of these guys can.  Whether it’s real or fake, here are 20 undeniably awesome mustaches in movies.

John Vukovich was actually Peter Vuckovich. John was part of the 1980s Phillies World Series team and 3rd base coach.

I love how Daniel Day-Lewis is up on the board more than once.
Man ‘There Will Be Blood” was amazing. Just watching the main character’s mental state deteriorate was so funny.

“I don’t know how long I can keep living like this with these…PEOPLE…mwuahahahaha!!”

Props for the Wilford Brimley mention. I would nominate Bernard Fox (Dr. Bombay / Bewitched) and Peter Ustinov (Poirot series) as honorable mentions for their great staches. Note, not the Suchet Poirot; his handlebars look like plastic fakes.

In Hot Rod Andy Sambergs mustache was fake…so does that really count?

What no Omar Sharif?! He’s the sexiest in the movie Dr. Zhivago. I’d date him in an instant. <3

@ Rob: you’re a fucking retard to believe that. Clean shaven is so over rated! Ewww! I’m one of the few women who prefers her man to have a mustache!
Facial hair is a symbol of masculnity. Guys with mustaches are assholes? My dad had a mustache so you’re calling him an asshole what about that adorable pilot Sulley? You’re calling that man a HERO an asshole too? My God, listen to yourself! You sound dumb, shut up. They’re more manly than you’ll ever be. You’re so ridiculous for even posting that bias comment up. :x Theyre not the assholes, YOU are.

How can this list not contain Billy Dee Williams…?

  30. casual-character.blogspot.comon 08 Jun 2011 at 6:44 pm

Wow! I am speechless about that Sean Connery in Zardos image… The ‘stache is hardly noticeable with that braided hair, those crazy boots, and those suspender things doing that to his private sack. ;p

where’s The Burt or Charles Bronson as Paul Kearsy in Death Wish

  32. Steveon 20 Nov 2011 at 10:01 pm

You lead with Daniel Day-Lewis in “…Blood”? Obviously, you’ve never seen him as BILL THE BUTCHER in GANGS OF NEW YORK. Clearly and hands down, a better stache’ and should be number one on your list. I rest my case:
