A Final Wolverine Question: What Was Your During the Credits Scene?

My fantastically long X-Men Origins: Wolverine review ran earlier today, but I didn’t get to address one thing in it that I decided to ask here:

What was the alternate ending you saw in theaters?

There are six promised “after the credits” endings cataloging the fates of the different still-alive characters, endings I would have actually been curious to see if they didn’t split them all up “to help fight piracy.”

My ending, which showed up about five seconds into the credits, was lame. Like beyond lame. Like people were literally exclaiming “What the **** was that?” as they left the theater.

Spoilers spoilers spoilers etc etc.

It showed Stryker, hypnotized by Wolvie’s girlfriend, walking in down a road. A military convoy approaches, pulls over and tells him that he’s wanted for questioning in the death of General Munson. The end. Yes, that’s it. Dear lord.

So I want to know what the other endings were about, and I don’t even think they’re up in sh*tty cell phone format on YouTube yet. What happened to Gambit? Deadpool? Who else was covered? Let me know and I’ll post the rest of the endings here.

I had the same one you did. Lame is right.

The bit with them picking up Stryker was in my credits, but my friend convinced me to stay until after the credits, where there was a scene with Wolverine in a bar in japan. Basically he says a few things in Japanese, says “I’m drinking to remember” and thats it.

I’ve heard that some people saw Deadpool’s body pick up his head, which then winks. That would have been so awesome.

In Denver, we had the same pointless clip of Stryker walking down the road.

I posted this elsewhere too, but here ya go.
    Wikipedia saves the day!
The film has several additional scenes during and after the credits.[5] The first of these scenes plays a few seconds into the credits, and depicts William Stryker walking down a road. The toes of his shoes are torn and bloody from walking for so long, having been commanded by Silverfox to walk indefinitely. A military vehicle drives up behind him and he is apprehended by military police for questioning about the death of a general that he murdered earlier in the film in order to protect his personal vendetta against mutants.

Depending on which theater the movie was shown in, one of two possible endings then appear following the credits. The first only depicts Weapon XI’s hand reaching out from the rubble of the nuclear complex to touch his severed head, whereupon the head comes to life and makes a brief hushing sound before the scene fades to black; breaking the fourth wall like the Deadpool comics. The second alternate ending shows Wolverine drinking at a bar in Japan. The female bartender asks if he is drinking to forget; Wolverine replies that he’s drinking to remember.

On Long Island, I got a credit scene that started off showing the rubble of the destroyed nuclear reactor. Then we see Deadpool’s arm with the sword drawn but the sword retracts as the camera zooms in. The arm starts to reach around till it finds Deadpool’s head with an again opened mouth and as the head is looking into the camera he whispers “Shhhhhhh….” and that was it. Maybe they didn’t ruin Deadpool that much…..since hes talking again he isn’t under Stryker’s control and therefore doesn’t have the other powers I’m pretty sure. Redemption? I hope so. Good luck finding the videos though….every single one of them have been taken off youtube already…I found the link right after I saw the movie opening day but can’t get it anymor to give to you…Fox is on top of this.

I’m pretty sure everyone got Stryker, but it was the after credits scene that was “special”. Here in Kansas it was Deadpool reaching out to grab his head among the rubble.

I saw the Stryker ending as well. You had to stay after the credits to see the Deadpool ending. And yes, that is what happened. You see his arm reaching through the rubble of the reactor of Three Mile Island and grabbing his severed head. As soon as he touches the head, it comes to life and winks.

I got the one at the bar with Logan saying, “I’m drinking to remember.” Definitely not worth staying through the credits.

The one no one seems to have seen is when Deadpool is walking through the rubble and sees the decapitated weapon XI and says “who the hell are you supposed to be?”. I guess weapon XI was a Deadpool clone or something?

I have been meticulously asking friends in several different areas of the country, and NOBODY has seen the rumored “who the hell are you” ending. Not one person that I know in Boston, Seattle, Chicago, South Carolina, North Carolina, or Florida has seen it.

Every website where I’ve seen mention of it has the exact same wording, nobody ever says they have seen it.

I do not believe that it exists.

Although I do hope I’m wrong.
