Eastbound and Down Back For Another Season
It looks like HBO’s Eastbound and Down will be back for another season. According to the L.A. Times:
The network has renewed the comedy starring Danny McBride as a has-been pitcher who, after being booted from Major League Baseball, winds up back home in North Carolina teaching Phys Ed. Production on Season 2 will begin later this year for a premiere in 2010.
I’m glad but a bit wary. The show became very dark in the last couple episodes, and that didn’t always mesh will with the comedic parts. The show was still good, though, and it never pulls punches or goes the PC route. Nudity helps, too.
