I suppose this is more music than movie or TV related, but Eminem’s new video for “We Made You” touches on a few things in pop culture, and does absolutely none of them well. Let’s start a tally of the madness

1) Fat Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo (no one’s making those jokes any more).

2) Kim Kardashian and her CGI ass (absurd, but her being fed into a wood chipper is pretty satisfying).

3) Rock of Love (so six months ago).

4) Lindsay Lohan and Sam Ronson (they broke up).

5) John Mayer and Jennifer Aniston (they also broke up).

6) Transformers (a boob robot? or something?).

7) Star Trek (the original, not the JJ Abrams one. Em as Spock is rather amusing I suppose).

Rain Man (uh, sure, why not?).

Sarah Palin (come on Em, where were you five months ago?).

So the moral of the story is that this video has come about five or six months too late to be relevant, and that might be forgivable if the song was remotely worth listening to, but it’s absolutely not. I haven’t waited this long for Eminem to drop a new album to listen to and see this crap. Come on Marshall, step it up.
