Notable Actors and Actresses is Music Videos - Part I

Cryin

So, I’ve kind of been on a music video kick lately, ruminating about how it’s a lost art form and whatnot, and I started thinking about notable actors and actresses that have appeared in music videos.  I realized that there are actually a lot.  I mean, of course music videos that feature a narrative have actors, but I was thinking about, you know, movie or television stars.  I managed to find quite few videos that had cameos of famous actors and actresses, some of which are kind of recent, and others that are blasts from the past.  Because there were so many, I split this up into two parts.  After the jump, check out 11 music videos that feature famous actors or actresses, and be sure to check in tomorrow for Part II.  Keep in mind that I avoided videos that were from movie soundtracks, so no Danny DeVito in Billy Ocean’s “When the Going Gets Tough” or anything like that.  Enjoy.

Stephen Dorff - Everytime by Britney Spears

I liked Dorff better when he was fighting the Daywalker.

Alicia Silverstone - Cryin’ by Aerosmith

Alicia was also in the Aerosmith videos for Crazy and Amazing.  Which are really the same song.  Stephen Dorff is in the video for Cryin’, too.

Jennifer Love Hewitt & Mickey Rourke - Hero by Enrique Iglesias

Mickey Rourke was always great as a badass.

Keanu Reeves - Rush, Rush by Paula Abdul

In this video, Keanu is closer to the “Ted” stage of his career than to the “Neo” stage.

Heather Graham - American Woman by Lenny Kravitz

Some people don’t think Heather Graham is all that hot.  I am not one of those people.

Christopher Walken - Weapon of Choice by Fatboy Slim

Classic Walken.

Courtney Cox - Dancing in the Dark by Bruce Springstein

Courtney Cox was also in the video for Counting Crows’ “Long December.”

Kim Basinger - Mary Jane’s Last Dance by Tom Petty

Excellent acting by Kim Basinger in this video; she is very convincing as a corpse.

Chevy Chase - Call Me Al by Paul Simon

It’s near impossible to hear this song and not think of Chevy Chase.

Sarah Michelle Gellar - Sour Girl by Stone Temple Pilots

I’m more of a Melissa Joan Hart guy myself.  I know that I’m in the minority.

Johnny Depp - Into The Great Wide Open by Tom Petty

Tom Petty seems to have a Mad Hatter obsession.

Be sure to check back tomorrow for Part II.
