Alyssa Milano Replacing Sigourney Weaver in Ghostbusters Game

As the story goes, Sigourney Weaver would not lend her voice to the upcoming Ghostbusters game because she thought it was be a crappy licensed movie video game (a relatively understandable hypothesis), but once she figured out the project was actually well thought out and featured all the film’s other stars, she changed her tune.

But it was too late, the deals had been done, and now it’s official that Alyssa Milano is stepping into the vocal chords for Weaver’s old role. Now, it’s funny, I know the name Alyssa Milano quite clearly, but I’ll be damned if I can tell you one thing that she’s actually in. She’s kind of like Eliza Dushku for me, but at least I know Dushku is in Dollhouse now.

Oh she was in Charmed? Well, I usually turned off the WB straight after Smallville, so I never really caught that one. I’m not sure why they felt it necessary to cast Milano in this role, it’s not like her character is going to be taking her virtual top off or anything. Maybe she sounds exactly like Weaver? Who cares, I’m not buying this game to hear the vocal stylings of Dana Berrett.
