J.J. Abrams Planning World’s Greatest Diamond Heist

You can say one thing about J.J. Abrams, he sure loves a good mystery. The Lost mastermind just purchased the rights to the incredible true story of the world’s biggest diamond heist that was recently published in Wired. The author, Joshua Davis, actually got to sit down with the man who orchestrated the heist, and heard just how he did it first hand.
The story is remarkable because the theieves had to penetrate 10 layers of security to access the vault, and they made of with allegedly $100 milion in diamonds. Yes, this is truly some Ocean’s 11 sh*t. The players even have cool nick names like “The Monster,” “The Genius” and “The King of Keys.” How much do you want to bet Vinnie Jones plays the Monster?
Abrams also has the rights to the story of New York’s famous puzzle box house, but more excitedly (at least for me) he has the rights to Stephen King’s epic Dark Tower saga, which should make a nice 71-part miniseries someday.
