Skeptical About the Thor Movie? Will Josh Hartnett Ease Your Fears?

I’m not sure what it is about Josh Hartnett that hasn’t really caught on with the public. He’s been in a ton of movies, but I’ll be damned if I can think of any really memorable roles he’s had (Wicker Park! Nevermind…). But could that change if he was cast as Loki in the the new Thor movie opposite (most likely) Alexander Skarsgard?

It could be his “Joker” breakthrough role theoretically, although Loki is far from being as iconic as the Joker (though literally, yes, he is a joker, the god of mischief). But before taking on the role, Heath Ledger was in two Oscar nominated pics, and was up for an award himself. Josh Hartnett has The Black Dhalia, Hollywood Homicide and Pearl Harbor to his credit.

Who cares, cast him. It’s not like I care about this movie in any capacity, and I’ll still see it regardless of who ends up being in it. I mean, it’s a superhero movie! Audiences will turn out in droves! Probably.

Your forgetting his badass role in sin city as the hitman who seduces women right before he kills them. I thought that character was awesome.

My favorite role of his was always Slevin Kelevra from Lucky Number Slevin.
