The Orphanage Director Reportedly Slumming It for a Twilight Sequel

I normally don’t care about any rogue Twilight rumors I hear floating around, but when someone mentioned The Orphanage, my all-time favorite horror film, I perked up right away.
Word is that Orphanage director Juan Antonia Bayona is being considered to direct Eclipse, which I think this the third movie in the series? And the next one is New Moon, yes? Eh, I’m not going to spend more than three seconds figuring out if that’s right.
Now I’m not sure if the first Twilight was so awful because of awful writing, directing or acting, but I’m leaning towards writing and acting (Mr. Pattinson in particular), so I’m not sure if Bayona’s involvement would do much to help, and probably would only distract him from being out there making a movie I actually wanted to see. The other directing choice for the third film is Drew Barrymore, who is apparently a director now. To pit her against Bayona is a bit like making a kitten fight a velociraptor, so let’s just hope he decides against the move.
But undoubtedly this rumor is going to be eclipsed by another one within a week, so we’ll see. Oh, I made a pun, look at that.
