Daft Punk to Score Tron Sequel; Taking Drugs Before Viewing Now A Necessity
Oh yes. In news that rules, Billboard is reporting that Daft Punk will be scoring the upcoming Tron sequel:
Daft Punk, the French electronica duo known for their robot personas, have been tapped by Walt Disney Pictures to compose the score for “TR2N”, an update of the studio’s 1982 science fiction classic “Tron”, Billboard has confirmed.
The film, currently in production, is tentatively scheduled for a 2011 release.
As if the new special effects and visual spectacle this movie is sure to be weren’t enough reason to see this movie on, um, external stimulants, Daft Punk will be providing the music. I’m seriously worried I’m going to go too far and freak out. One moment I’m inhaling, the next I’m doing the popcorn trick to myself. The Tron sequel could make The Wall look like a PBS special.
