I usually don’t get excited for movies based on true stories, partly because nothing THAT incredible can happen, and partly because the truth has been bastardized and twisted for the sake of entertainement.  With that said, the Public Enemies trailer looks pretty friggin’ sweet.  Depp, Bale, and Crudup are all terrific, and Michael Mann’s over-the-actor’s-shoulder-shakey-cam style of shooting makes me moist.

One thing, though: I’m not accusing anyone of thievery, but doesn’t the opening to this trailer remind you of the opening to another gangster movie trailer?  When a girl asks a gangster what he does while eating?  Check out the trailer below, specifically around the 0:28 second mark.
