McQueen had that laidback yet super alert air about him that's pretty hard to beat. And he often had an underlying vulnerability that always brought the audience over to his side. He play it extremely quiet, yet compelling as in "Bullitt". Now, when Daniel Craig plays it down that much he becomes dull. "Invasion", "The Golden Compass" - case in point. "Layer Cake" would have caught fire with a '60s, early 70s star, but the film stays in neutral because of Craig. As Bond, his masculinity is too overt and brutal to be cool. He's probably the most divisive Bond in the history of the franchise. Nah, I can't think of a single actor from the current crop who could come close to Mr. McQueen. I think he'd be better than any of the guys you mentioned. @ Shiloh
