Morning Link: Steve McQueen Biopic in Development

This is a great quote from Film School Rejects:
There’s a moment in The Great Escape where you realize that Steve McQueen has been chosen for the role not just because of his sly devil-may-give-a-shit attitude, but also because the man represents America in the purest way possible.
I happen to agree with this sentiment in the biggest way and I’m pumped to see what they come up with here. Read the rest of Film School’s article.

I have some pretty big concerns about these two movies coming out about Steve McQueen. One is all about his life with his one wife, and I cant think that will be interesting. The other one sounds great,but,..I am worried who will play him.Its been put out that Brad Pitt is on,or that Damien Lewis should do it,..or Colin Farrell.Only one could pull it off.Daniel Craig. He has that essence of toughness and cool. Not quite as strong as McQueen, but its there enuff to work.I swear if they put in Pitt,I’ll be ill.
@ Shiloh
As much as I disliked The Hurt Locker, I thought Renner was terrific…and he, too has been rumored to play McQueen. I think he’d be better than any of the guys you mentioned.
