Can Someone Please Explain the Franklyn Trailer to Me?

Published by Paul Tassi at 12:00 pm under Movies, Trailers

I just stumbled upon this trailer for a movie I’d never heard of before, and now I’m intrigued and want to know what the hell it is. I mean dear Lord, I can’t even find its IMDB page!

It’s got Ryan Philippe trying save (or kill?) Eva Green in a city that’s London (or not?) but all Steampunked out. He also feels the need to dress like a cross between Rorschach from Watchmen and the protagonist of 9. Upon a little research, I think that it’s possible this might only be coming out in the UK, which I totally didn’t think ever happened. All that means is it’ll take me 30 seconds to find the torrent instead of 10.

    btw:

In the futuristic Meanwhile City, a masked vigilante (Ryan Phillippe) seeks out his nemesis while in contemporary London, an art student (Eva Green) attempts to kill herself, a heartbroken lover (Sam Riley) looks for someone new and a father (Bernard Hill) searches for his son. Writer-director Gerald McMorrow’s sci-fi drama follows these desperate individuals as their lives become intertwined by fate.
