As most of us are well aware of, the video gaming industry has exploded in the last few years.  Sure everyone was into Pacman and Atari way back when, but the last 5 years has seen an unbelievable climate change in not only the quality (and technology) of games, but also the marketing of them.

And as we become more “European” in culture, some gaming system ads have taken risks that are extending further and further each day.  One example would have to be Playstation.

I never realized how creepy some of their ads were.  There’s this “dark” tone in a ton of them.  I’m not sure if I like them or hate them.  One thing is for certain though:  I remember them.

I can’t quite pinpoint it.  There’s something about the color quality and clarity.  It’s all very deliberate.  I mean taking aside the “normal” insane eyeball ads, you have to admit there’s a tone here that’s prevalent.
