I’ll be honest, I had mixed feeling about Prototype when I first heard about it. Genetically engineered hero running amok didn’t seem terribly original, and all the screenshots looked like Venom doing parkour.

But now with the release of the trailer, I can see that hopefully the game is going to kick all kinds of ass. The ability to not only shapeshift, but to absorb your enemies powers (and I guess thoughts?) should add an entirely new dimension to gameplay that we haven’t really seen before. It’s kind of God of War meets Grand Theft Auto meets Marvel Ultimate Alliance. Yeah sure, let’s go with that.
