Terminator 5 Already a Go
Terminator: Salvation hasn’t even been released yet, but according to Variety, a fifth Terminator movie is already in the works:
The Terminator will be back. Halcyon Co. toppers Derek Anderson and Victor Kubicek are developing a fifth instalment of the man-vs.-machine franchise. Helmer McG, who directed the upcoming fourth pic, “Terminator Salvation,” is working with the Halcyon duo on the latest project.
Announcement was among the news that came out of the Dubai Intl. Film Festival, which bowed Dec. 11 and runs through Thursday.
I know I’m not alone, but I cringe every time I see the name “McG” in print. I’d probably be more comfortable if a guy named Labia Rectumface was directing these movies.

It’s called money. Terminator in any incarnation is gonna make money. The series from the first to the last makes so many sudden changes you get whiplash. Some are good some are so so and the story from movie to movie is not even coherent but coherence is the age of adult add is not a requirement. Movies that are a roller-coaster ride while you watch and forget when you leave the theater are the norm. What i call popcorn movies, good while you watch but forgettable. Like the Harry Potter movies, they can be so badly made but they have a built in audience that people will watch out of curiosity and make excuses for watching. I’ve watched a few movies that seemed like nonstop chase scenes which can be exciting but empty in story. Until i re-watch Terminator 2, all I can remember are the chases. Oh no! The bad terminator is after me again run!
