New Wanted Game Trailer is Firmly Planted in Uncanny Valley

Published by Paul Tassi at 1:38 pm under Trailers, Video Games

Is it wrong of me to hold every game now up to Mass Effect character model standards? Probably, but I don’t care, these other developers need to get with it. This is the worldwide debut trailer for the new Wanted game, which could potentially be cool if I had an idea whether any of it is actual gameplay footage or not.

I worry about a way to execute a sucessful bullet curving mechanic, but if done well, it might be fairly badass. Same with all this wall jumping and sliding, which is slightly reminiscent of the old Max Payne games, except the main character doesn’t look constipated. Of course this is a video game based on a movie, and those tend to have about as much success as movies based on video games, so I’m understandably a bit wary of the whole thing.
