New Race to Witch Mountain Trailer Shows Aliens = the X-Men
I’d never heard of this movie until about an hour ago, but after watching the trailer I’m convinced it’ll make an absurd amount of money for the following reasons:
1) People love aliens
2) People love superpowers
3) People love the Rock
4) People love Disney
5) People love PG movies
What more could you ask for? But seriously, everything that’s rated PG or lower these days is guaranteed to at least double its budget. I’m not exactly sure how the Rock became the go-to guy for Disney family films, but here we are, watching him cart around superpowered alien kids in a cab while being chased by the CIA and what appears to be the Predator.

I’ll take the original, Escape To Witch Mountain. Remakes suck.
You’re obviously too young to remember the Witch Mountain movies made by Disney in the mid 70s… They were cool… Remakes are boring though…
Will probably be on-par with the remake of The Day The Earth Stood Still – more flashiness, less substance.
The original was better.
