Interesting point about Groundhog Day. Still, even if he WAS dead, he didn’t STAY dead, so would that really be a suicide? Unless you want to get into parallel universes and such, and for some reason, I don’t think the writers of Groundhog Day really thought that part out.

It’s a Wonderful Life was an oversight. Good call. Remember, the lists aren’t all-inclusive, but yeah, that movie should haveprobably been mentioned.

Groundhog’s Day shouldn’t be on the list. All of his suicide attempts did not fail, they succeeded. Watch the movie again and there is one part where the girl, whatever her name is, is called in to identify the body. Also when he drives the truck over the cliff and it blows up the camera man says “ok now he’s dead” or the like. Therefore time did not restart as soon as he killed himself it continued on until sometime the next morning. Him actually dying means that his attempts were successful.

And please tell me where is the most memorable Failed Suicide ever? Does the movie It’s a Wonderful Life ring a bell??
