Final Mirror’s Edge Trailer Released, I Still Don’t Get It

Here’s the final animated trailer from EA’s first person parkour game, Mirror’s Edge. I’m not exactly sure how this whole concept works. You get a “package” and have to run from point A to point B without dying. Only you do it across buildings and sliding down cable wires and stuff. Is that it? Could be fun, I guess. But first person seems like kind of a weird format for it, you would think it would be some sort 3-D third person platformer.

The game takes place in a future where the internet and phones have been completely tapped by the government, so information has to be delivered by human transport. I’m sorry, but is the government too busy snooping through e-mails to not see people sliding down bridge cables and jumping off rooftops?

Hey at least it’s an innovative concept that doesn’t involve space marines, so I’ll give it props for that. Mirrors Edge wall-jumps its way into stores November 13th.
