Let’s face it.  When you’re amped up to see a movie it’s a little disconcerting (yet hilarious) when you run into a movie marquee that gets you kind of miffed.  It’s like “hmmm, I didn’t know they were playing that!”

But come on folks.  As much as we like to seriously talk about movies here the comedic side of the film industry rears its head quite often.  Let’s take a moment to sit back and laugh our asses off at some of the mistakes we see.

Very rarely do I pass by a movie theater and do a double take.   I mean think about it.  You see what movies are playing on that big sign and that’s just about it.  It’s not like you’re sitting there trying to find meaning in the text.  And the last thing you’re doing is checking if the movies titles when aligned properly form some funny phrases.

Well it’s a good thing for us that there are people out there who do pay attention to these things.  Whether it’s intentional or not,  there are some funny ass movie marquees that go up across our nation.

  1. I wish they would stop advertising Nicholas Cage movies at the cinema, it’s like they’re actually trying to get people to watch his movies.

  2. @Edzone: I say this all the time: let the man make his crappy movies. For every 3-4 paydays he gets, he gives us one Lord of War, Bad Lieutenant, Adaptation, etc. Let him make his money to spend on Elvis crap so that he will give us those great movies. I’m willing to deal with his crap if it means Lord of War. The man is one of the best actors around when he does these types of movies.

  3. my fav funny marquee was when the movie theater decided they needed to hire some more staff at the same time that the latest star trek film came out. needless to say, seeing “Star Trek Help Wanted” left me wondering if the critics were right about the franchise losing creative steam
