Cosplay of the Day: Steampunk Ariel Brings Firepower Under the Sea


Every time Steampunk seemingly stops being cool, a new cosplay costume comes out that makes me rethink that notion. This time it’s The Artful Dodger with her Steampunk version of The Little Mermaid’s Ariel. I’m not entirely convinced a steam-powered trident would work under the sea (same with a pistol), but I respect the effort.

The inspiration for the costume was this artwork by Hungry Designs, and I think it’s far cooler in real life than it ever was on the page. Check out one more shot of the costume in action below:
