Looking into the Past From the Present: A Gallery

Look to the PastI’m sure you guys know the genre of picture where people take an image, put it in front of something in the foreground, take a picture and when you see the photo it looks like a complete picture.  I wish there was a name for this particular genre but I think you all know what I’m talking about.

Well in that light comes a project I thought was really cool.  People decided to take pictures of the past of certain locations, like a road in a town.  They then took those past photos and put them in the foreground so that when the new picture was taken you could see the past and present acting simultaneously.

I can’t explain myself much further.   You’ll have to see it to understand but I think these pictures are awesome.

We’d like to thank Jason Powell for these photos.
